She also serves on the Advisory Board of the First Women’s Bank in Chicago, the only women-founded, women-owned, and women-led commercial bank in the country. About Lotika Pai: 

In her current role as the City of Chicago Chief Small Business Officer and Chicago Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection (BACP) Managing Deputy Commissioner, Lotika oversees BACP’s business support programs, including the Neighborhood Business Development Center (NBDC) program.  The NBDC Program consists of over 60 business service organizations that provide no-cost business support and resources at the community level.

Lotika’s management expertise spans cross-cultural, cross-functional teams and her program leadership history has prepared her to be the public face and leader of small business support programs. She steps in to the role with over 25 years of diverse professional experience. As an experienced entrepreneur and former small business owner, Lotika brings a clear vision for the small business community that connects with business owners and business service organizations. Lotika was also appointed to the Illinois Secure Choice Board by Governor J.B Pritzker in 2022. The program has brought retirement savings access to workers in small businesses in every county across Illinois.

About Mita N. Shewakramani: Mita an attorney, specializing in real estate and commercial transactional law, and has worked as in-house counsel for businesses in the Chicagoland area, as well as with a firm specializing in Real Estate Law. She is also a principle in her family's businesses including Regal Jewels Inc., Sari Sapne Inc., Regal Law Group LLC and Shree Ganesh Temple of Chicago.
